WATER SOFTENER MAINTENANCE

The water softener is used to decalcify the water in order to make the machine work properly.
It comes with an inlet tap and a water outlet tap.
To start, turn the water inlet tap to the right, and drain a quantity of liquid that will enable you to remove the pressure and open the cap. After removing the cap, pour 1 kg of large salt (or whatever amount is needed depending on the machine’s capacity) inside the water softener, clean the edges and then close the cap. Next, turn the top tap to the left to re-create the pressure internally and then turn the bottom tap to the right. The water that passes through the salt will dissolve the limescale which will then be emptied through the drain. After 45 minutes, the salt will be completely dissolved (we recommend you taste the water to check that there’s no salinity) and at this point turn the lower tap to the left.
Carry out this procedure once or twice a week depending on the coffee and water consumption.
